Role overview

About this role

Overview Did you know that what you post on social media could negatively impact the company you work for? This Virtual Taster with Barclays demonstrates the consequences of posting confidential information online - not only for the company but for the customer too. You’ll also create a guide for Barclays’ early career professionals to promote safe online activity. What’s Included In this Virtual Taster, you’ll join Barclays’ early careers team. You will learn about digital compliance risks at a big bank like Barclays, such as sharing sensitive information, representing the brand, and financial promotions rules. You will review examples of social media posts from fictional staff members, choosing which are harmless and which are non-compliant, giving justification for your choices. After reviewing the posts, your next task is to create a guide to help early-career professionals understand how to stay compliant and professional when posting online, especially when they mention their job. At the end, you’ll see a model answer from an expert, breaking down which posts were compliant, which weren’t, and why. This is a great chance to understand compliance in the workplace and why it is essential, especially to employers like Barclays.
