About this role

Overview In this Sprint with Drax, you’ll take on the role of a Process Engineer in the sustainable energy industry. Your task is to review the new carbon capture process at Drax. You’ll need to consider any potential hazards associated with the carbon capture process and ways to mitigate any disruptions that could impact the process and people’s safety. Think you’ve got what it takes? What’s Included This Sprint is a way for you to carry out a real-world task and will give you a taste of what a future career with Drax could look like. You’ll learn more about the role of a Process Engineer, along with an insight into the important role carbon capture and net zero play in combatting the climate crisis. You’ll hear from your mentor, a real Drax employee, who’ll provide you with the context you need to try out this task for yourself. You’ll learn from your Drax mentor through videos and compare your work with their model answers to refine your abilities even further. For the first 300 students who submit their work, Springpod will review it with support from Drax, and you will receive personalised feedback about your submission.
