Overview This course introduces the role of an Economist working for DESNZ. You’ll explore what qualifications and skills you’ll need to succeed in this role, plus you’ll gain insight into day-to-day responsibilities, so that you can get a real feel for what a Civil Service professional working in this area does. The course also covers what career progression looks like and provides insight into the challenges, rewards, and benefits associated with a career in the Civil Service. Most importantly, you’ll complete a real-world activity, simulating a task an Economist would do in their day-to-day, and you’ll reflect on whether this could be a career for you.
