Responsibilities: Develop, maintain and improve customer-facing web applications Build front-end solutions using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and TypeScript Develop back-end functionality using technologies such as Node.js, PHP and SQL Design and maintain relational databases, including PostgreSQL Translate business and customer requirements into technical solutions Test, debug, deploy and enhance software applications Use Git and source control to manage code changes Create and maintain technical documentation Communicate with colleagues and customers to gather requirements and resolve issues Follow security, data protection and software development best practices Desirable skills: Attention to detail Analytical thinking Technical documentation Software testing and ability to learn new technologies quickly Customer-focused Takes ownership of work Works effectively both independently and as part of a team Entry requirements: The learner must have completed a Level 3 Software Development Apprenticeship with QA or have an equivalent qualification with another training provider OR an A-level in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) subject and a successful completion of our aptitude test OR a BTEC Diploma in IT and a successful completion of our aptitude test OR 2 years’ experience in a relevant role and successful completion of our aptitude test You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme.
