We now want to find the team who will lead this exciting initiative and are looking for journalists and editorial training experts with imagination, passion and resourcefulness. We're now looking for an assistant training editor, apprenticeships to support and oversee the operational elements of our digital journalist scheme which incorporates an apprenticeship programme. In this role, you will champion editorial excellence, drive participant growth, and align targeted training with desk requirements. You'll also directly support participants through onboarding, reviews, and cohort community-building. This is a full-time, two-year fixed-term contract or internal staff secondment. About the role Support the deputy training editor, apprenticeships with the day-to-day delivery of the new Guardian digital journalist scheme, designed to develop editorial talent and incorporating an apprenticeship scheme. Lead on the process of deploying digital journalists to editorial desks, ensuring they build on their learning through practice and provide flexible cover through editorial as necessary. Build strong relationships with desk editors to allow for constructive feedback on current and future skills needs.
