Open Door Scotland has been working with homeless and vulnerable young people in West Lothian for over 30 years. They are now seeking a Digital Support & Social Media Apprentice. Responsibilities: First point of contact for incoming enquiries via telephone, email and social media channels such as Facebook Instagram, responding professionally and directing enquiries to the appropriate team member Using Microsoft Outlook to manage inboxes, schedule meetings and maintain effective communication with colleagues, supporters and external stakeholders Become a system expert in systems such as Microsoft Word , Microsoft Excel and cloud-based document management platforms such as SharePoint to record, update and maintain information accurately using digital filing systems Organising and managing digital files, emails and shared folders, ensuring information is stored correctly and can be accessed efficiently by the wider team Collaborating digitally with colleagues through Microsoft Teams , participating in meetings, sharing updates and supporting day-to-day administration activities Using Microsoft Excel to maintain records, track information, update databases and produce reports when required Creating and scheduling social media content across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn , using digital marketing and content management tools Using graphic design software such as Canva to create engaging social media posts, promotional materials, leaflets and digital content Monitoring social media engagement, responding to messages and comments where appropriate, and supporting campaigns to increase awareness of the charity's services Support with updating and maintaining company websites using platforms such as Webflow , ensuring content is accurate, engaging and aligned to brand guidelines.
