Interview questions students should expect

technical

Tell me about a system you designed or a significant technical challenge you solved, including the trade-offs you considered.

Engineering interviews expect clear problem framing, trade-off analysis, and outcome — not just 'I built X'.

competency

Describe a time you had to learn a completely new technology or skill very quickly and apply it under pressure.

Google values learning agility — show speed of learning and practical application, not just depth of knowledge.

values

What does 'Googleyness' mean to you, and can you give a specific example of it in your own behaviour?

Google defines Googleyness as intellectual humility, comfort with ambiguity, and a genuine passion for impact.

commercial

What Google product or feature would you add or improve, and how would you prioritise it against other work?

Show you think in terms of user needs, data, and business value — not just cool technology.
