Careers Service | University of Hull The Careers Service is looking to grow the team. We deliver careers education, advice, and guidance across the student journey, working closely with employers, academic colleagues, and student services to support students to define and progress towards their own version of success. We are excited to offer an opportunity for someone keen to build a career in careers and employability to join us as a Trainee Careers Adviser. This role is for candidates who do not yet hold a formal careers qualification, but who have the values, skills, and commitment to develop into an excellent careers professional. About the Role As a Trainee Careers Adviser, you will work directly with students, delivering careers and employability guidance through appointments, workshops, and group activity. From day one, you will contribute to projects, deliver sessions (including to large groups), and support students to navigate decisions and next steps in ways that reflect their individual contexts and aspirations. You will be supported to develop your professional practice and have structured training which includes a PG Cert and Higher Apprenticeship in Career Development which will be undertaken with the University of Warwick. You will be supported with mentoring and guidance from an experienced team of professionally qualified Careers Consultants. About You There is no single route into the careers profession.
