Molson Coors has three degree apprenticeship adverts open for September 2027: operations, logistics and sales. Each lists a starting salary of £23,500. The work, entry requirements and likely week are different enough that applying to all three with the same answer would be a mistake.
If you are choosing between them, start with the work you want to do on an ordinary Tuesday. Then check whether you meet that role's requirements.
Three routes, three different jobs
Operations is based at the Burton brewery. The employer's operations advert describes manufacturing engineering work: learning the production equipment, using data to investigate problems and improving safety, quality and efficiency. It says you will study for a Manufacturing Engineering degree with the University of Derby. You need an A-level at grade C or above in a mathematics-based subject and another in a science, technology, engineering or further mathematics-related subject, or 90 or more credits in an Engineering Level 3 BTEC. You must be able to work full time at the Burton brewery.
Logistics is based at Molson Coors' Burton HQ, with a hybrid working model in the employer's logistics advert. The degree is in supply chain with Aston University. The work spans forecasting, production planning, customer orders and the cost of moving products. The stated academic bar is three A-levels at CCC or above, or equivalent BTECs, plus at least grade 4 in GCSE English and maths.
Sales has a Burton-on-Trent advert, but the employer says placements can involve mobile work and other locations. You would work across commercial teams and study for a business-to-business sales degree with Middlesex University. Expect customer relationships, finding new business and understanding how products reach hospitality venues and retailers. This role asks for a full UK driving licence, three A-levels at CCC or equivalent BTECs, and GCSE English and maths at grade 4 or above.
All three adverts say applicants must be 18 by the first week of September 2027. Read the individual eligibility wording before applying; a general guide to degree apprenticeship grades cannot replace the employer's requirements.
Choose by the problem you want to solve
If you like finding out why a machine or process is underperforming, put operations first. Its subject requirements are specific for a reason: the work is technical and based in a manufacturing site.
If you would rather work out how much to make, where it needs to go and what happens when demand changes, look at logistics. You will still use data, but the decisions sit across the supply chain rather than the production line.
If conversations, commercial decisions and moving between teams appeal more, read the sales advert. The driving licence and mobility requirements are practical filters. Do not leave them until after you have written the application.
These are descriptions of the advertised work, not a test of your personality. You can be interested in more than one. For each application, pick one example that shows why that particular work holds your attention. A part-time job, school project or club activity can be useful evidence if you explain what you did and learned.
The deadline needs a second look
Molson Coors says applications for the three programmes close in January 2027, without giving a day on the employer adverts. The government's live listings for operations and logistics specify 15 January 2027. The Burton sales advert does not state a day, so do not assume its deadline is the same.
There is another inconsistency. Molson Coors calls the operations programme four years; its government listing currently says two years. Ask the recruitment team which duration applies before you make plans around it. The work and degree are clear in the employer advert, but the length is not.
Do not wait for January to start. Molson Coors lists an online application, an assessment, a recorded video interview and an in-person Discovery Day. Draft your examples now, then practise short spoken answers rather than reading a script. Keep the three roles and their deadlines on one application shortlist so you can see what needs doing next.
The useful choice
The shared £23,500 starting salary makes these programmes easy to group together. It does not make them interchangeable. Your strongest application will explain why you want the daily work in the role you chose, then back that up with one concrete example.
